REGINA HORVAT On Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Regina Horvat passed away at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her four daughters, Erika, Hilda, Anita, all of Winnipeg and Doreen (John) of Texas; two sons John of Calgary and Milan of Winnipeg; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister in Slovenia. Regina was predeceased by her husband Ivan, one brother, her parents and one granddaughter. Regina was born in France during the time that her parents lived there. They returned to their homeland Slovenia when she was ten years old. She immigrated to Canada with her husband Ivan and two children in 1957 and resided in Winnipeg ever since. Regina was a free spirit that enjoyed many things in life, but nothing made her feel more at peace than spending time in her garden that she cultivated with love for many years. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 2:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will take place on September 11, 2012 at Brookside Cemetery.
