NAOMI (NETT) MCMILLAN (nee KRESKO) April 21, 1917 - July 15, 2012 Nett passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the age of 95 at Concordia Place. She was predeceased by Henry, her loving husband of 70 years in 2011; sister Anne Howell of Vancouver in 2011; and brother John in 1993. Nett was born and raised in Transcona. She was active in the W.A.s of St. Patrick's, St. George's and All Saints' Anglican Churches. For many years she led school tours as a volunteer at the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature, and she worked part-time at the Bay. Nett and Henry enjoyed many fishing expeditions together. Nett was known for her craft work (knitting and crocheting), her cooking of traditional dishes, and her baking of Christmas cookies and Easter Bread (Paska). She leaves cherished memories with her sister-in-law Jean Kresko and family Greg; Cathy Hatch and husband Greg, Kate; Paul; Lisa Huggins and husband Colin, and family Kailey, Blake and Ainsley; and nephew Ken Baniuk. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in October.
