GARY THOMAS HOLLIDAY Gary Thomas Holliday, son of the late Ivan and Ruth Holliday of Oakville, MB passed away early Monday, July 23, 2012, in the thoughts and prayers of many family and friends. Gary was born on May 4, 1944 and was raised and lived on the family farm north of Oakville, MB. He began his career with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in 1962. He enjoyed summers at the family cottage at Falcon Lake as a child and later in Minaki, Ontario with his own family. An avid golfer and traveler, Gary spent many years contributing to the community in which he lived and loved. Gary is survived by his wife and best friend, Bette Marie Holliday, his sisters Gail Hay (El) and Heathe Legault (Fernand), his four daughters Amber Dawn Holliday, Erica Holliday Hurst (Kent Hurst), Robyn Holliday (Rene Oullette),and Amanda Holliday Reimer (Kelvin Reimer). Gary was also a beloved pappa (Big Grandpa) to four grandchildren, Emily, Joey, Diego and Ryley. In accordance with Gary's wishes there will be no formal funeral service. A private family burial will take place at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Oakville Lion's Club, Oakville, MB R0H 0Y0 or the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 Arrangements entrusted to: Ronald Moffit Memorial Service (204)856-3487
