NORA HANNESON 1925 - 2012 On Sunday, July 29, 2012, Nora passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre with family by her side. Nora was the daughter of the late John and Ellie Carson. She was predeceased by her loving husband Len in 2009, having shared 59 wonderful years together. Nora is lovingly remembered by her daughter Wendy (Dr. Craig) Hildahl and family Kristin, (Mike Shawn), Stefan, and Erik; daughter Patti Hanneson and family Johanna and Kristofer; and daughter Johanna (Ken) Skaftfeld and family Erika and Jon. She is also survived by her sister Jean Wade, brother Art (Carolyn) Carson, and many nieces and nephews. Nora and Len married in Langruth, MB, in 1950, and in their retirement spent 35 wonderful years in Winnipeg being close to their family and grandchildren. They enjoyed trips to the cottage, across Canada, the US, and Europe, and time spent with family and friends. Mom will be forever remembered for her strong love and support of family, her kindness and generosity towards others, her strong sense of values, and most of all, the love and strength she gave to her daughters and their families. Her grandchildren will lovingly cherish their Nana's love and strong involvement she showed in their daily lives, along with the memories and life lessons they will treasure forever. We love you Mom, Nana. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of the staff at Riverview Health Centre, 2A, for their kindness, respect, and wonderful care given to our mother. A private family gathering will be held in the Chapel at Riverview with Pastor Ingthor Isfeld officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
