MICHAEL J. ZUNIC July 29, 1950 - July 26, 2012 Michael J. Zunic of Irricana, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2012 at the age of 62 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Michelle (Nathan), son Stephen (Megan), grandchildren, Pallas, Naia, and Annabelle, sister Barb (Louis) Guyot, and his former spouse Sharon. Mike grew up in St. Boniface and attended Ecole Precieux Sang. He began a career in Diagnostic Imaging and worked at both St. Boniface Hospital and Health Sciences Centre before moving to Victoria, BC and later to Calgary, AB. Mike had a lifelong interest in car racing and, with the assistance of friends, continued to attend races even when mobility became a challenge. Memorial Services were held on Monday, July 30, 2012 in Calgary. Contributions in Mike's memory can be made to the Parkinson Society.

  • The Burnard family lived on Champlain Street and the Burnard kids played with Michael and Suzy when they were growing up. The house we lived in was designed by Nick and Al Burnard.   • Worked with Mike (& Sharon) about 35 yrs ago. in imaging at Wpg Health Science Center. Great guy & at time a good friend. One of the handful of people I've missed since I left Wpg 1977.
