MIRIAM ROSENBERG Sadly we announce the passing of Miriam Rosenberg, August 9, 2012. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Rachel Danzker, brothers Mark, Bill and Ernie Danzker, sisters, Alyce Danzker, Sarah Mitchell and Sylvia Kopstein. Left to cherish her memory are her children Mona and Gary Sprintz, granddaughter Mila-Rae Sprintz, Hart and Fran Rosenberg, sister Clara Shefrin, sister-in-law Clarice Danzker, brother-in-law Harry Roseberg and Jack Moscovitch. Miriam was born in Winkler, MB. Sports and other outdoor activities were an important part of Miriam's life. She played baseball on a travelling team during her younger years in Winkler. In Winnipeg Miriam played tennis and enjoyed long walks. She met our dad in Winnipeg and married him November 2, 1946 after he returned from duty overseas. Together they built a beautiful life with two children to follow. Miriam was a wonderful daughter who cared for her mother in her home. As her first priority was caring for her mother she was not able to attend family functions outside of her home very often. She looked forward to her family coming to her home to visit with their children. Those were the best of times for Miriam. At the age of 60 she learned to swim and dive. She taught water aerobics to seniors at the Y.M.C.A. To keep her mind active she played bridge which she enjoyed immensely. When our dad became ill, Miriam cared for him at home for as long as possible. Miriam was in good health until she reached 90 years. She entered the Sharon Home for the last six years of her life. She had wonderful companions who treated her with kindness and dignity which meant so much to her and to our family. Our family would like to extend our thanks to Lita, Thelma, Grace, Marta, Angie and Linda for looking after mom so well and making her as comfortable as possible. Funeral Services were held on August 12, 2012 at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetary. Pallbearers were Gary Sprintz, Danial Sprintz, Larry Nasberg, Michael Werier, Mark Kagan and Josh Winestock. Donations can be made in her memory to a charity of your choice. Merciful One, we ask that Miriam find perfect peace in Your eternal embrace. Mom may your soul be bound in the bonds of eternal life. We will carry your memory in our hearts forever.
