NORMA BAY It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Bay, on March 22, 2012 at the Health Sciences Centre. Norma is survived by her children Michelle and Elliott of Toronto and Maury of Winnipeg. Norma was predeceased by her beloved husband Saul, her parents Ida and Morris Anbinder, her sister Clara Silverman and her brother Alan Anbinder. Norma was born in the north end of Winnipeg to Ida and Morris Anbinder. After high school Norma worked as a secretary and met her husband Saul Bay at his first pharmacy on Ellice Avenue. Norma and Saul had 37 wonderful years together and enjoyed many trips to such places as Madrid, London, Rome and Israel and later enjoyed wintering in Palm Springs, California. Due to a brief but terminal illness Saul Bay passed away in 1988 but even with such adversity Norma was the shining example of a lady and was gracious and kind to everyone. Norma was the consummate mother, completely devoted to her children and took great pride in all their accomplishments. She also had an incomparable sense of style and would enjoy shopping with Michelle in Toronto and in Palm Springs, California. Unfortunately in the last few years Norma's health began to decline but she still retained her glamour and her keen wit and sense of humour. She showed tremendous courage during her brief illness but unexpectedly succumbed to it on March 22, 2012. Norma Bay can best be described as a beautiful woman on the outside but she had tremendous inner beauty and this was apparent to all who knew her. It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we must say goodbye to our wonderful mother but memories of this very special lady will remain with us forever. Our family would like to thank Doctors Drexler, Nason and Nashed for their excellent and compassionate care. We would also like to thank Gershon and Margaret Sucharov, Bernard Sucharov, Marshall Carroll, Cathie Ugrin and Dr. James Currie for their assistance during this most difficult time.
