JAMES MCFARLANE On August 8, 2012, at Seven Oaks Hospital, James McFarlane passed away peacefully. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. James is survived by daughters, Barb, Liz, Judy, Helen (Gerry), Connie and Cathy; grandchildren, Dylan (Tara), Jason, Jordan (Amber), Allison, Matthew, Stefanie, Johnathan, Justin, Christopher, Dolly, Anne, Danah and Darla; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Alyssa, Narin, Nevaeh and Nathaniel; sisters, Anna (Cliff, Dad's best buddy), Marian, Mary (John) and many nieces and nephews. James will also be remembered by Tim Antonius, John Maas, Wayne Seidler, John Johnston and Allan Pitchard. He was predeceased by his loving wife Anne; parents; brother, John and sister, Helen. Dad worked at the post office for 33 years as a postal courier. He had many hobbies such as computers, electronics, CB radios, crossword puzzles and gardening. Dad was always learning something new. The family would like to thank Seven Oaks Hospital and a special thank you to Bruce Lousley who did so much for Dad. Viewing will be on Tuesday, August 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster, followed by a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in James's memory may be made to Salvation Army.   • My father (Bill) was also a good friend with uncle Jimmy as I remember him too. My dad..who resides in Deer Lodge just recently spoke of Jim and his memories are of a very special dear old friend.   • My dad and Uncle Jimmy which is what we knew him as worked together at the post office for a while and we lived in the same house for a while with the MCFARLANE family and my sister Liz and brother James played with Barb and Liz.   • I worked with Jimmy for over 25 years at the Post Office. We had many good years and both our families grew up and lived in West Kildonan.
