DARRELL WADE E.J. OBIREK November 26, 1961 - August 12, 2012 With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear son, brother and friend after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side. Darrell was a very private man who loved his Lord, his books and tapes about the Lord, taking care of his exotic plants, walking miles daily, helping seniors along the way, his special godparents, aunty Margaret and uncle John; his family and pet cat Tom. His family, pet, special priests and friends were very important to him and always helping mom and dad. Son you will be missed, we love you dearly. You are now with your brother Kelly (2004) whom you missed so much. Free of suffering, in peace with your Lord. Thank you and God bless all of Darrell's care givers at CancerCare, Radiology doctors, Selkirk chemo staff and special nurses who cared for Darrell. Darrell is survived by his parents Edward and Dorothy; brothers Sheldon and Tim (special sister-in-law Sus). He was predeceased by his brother Kelly in 2004, grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Darrell said Goodbye my family and friends, Kelly and I will watch over you all, thank you for caring. Dear son and brother, God has you in his keeping. We have you in our hearts. Give our love to Kelly. See you later. Funeral Services will be held at St. Michael's Church in Cooks Creek on Thursday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. with interment at the St. Michael's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Obirek, Ed Kowalchuk, Dan Klimchuk, Charles Sitarz, Jim Wagner and Ron Obirek. Flowers are gratefully declined.
