Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERNARD VICTOR HOLLUP (BEN) Peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2012, Ben passed away at the Victoria General Hospital just six days after his 88th birthday. Ben is survived by his wife Karen; sons, Keith and Kevin (Sherri); daughters, Kathy (Dave) Dunlop and Karen Gregory; granddaughters, Kathryn and Cristina; sister Adele James; two stepsons, Vince (Krista) Mask, granddaughters, Logan and Dylan and Troy (Shannon) Mask. Ben was predeceased by his first wife Kathryn (Kay), mother of his four children. Ben loved spending time with his family and friends and many happy hours were spent together. He was a Veteran of the Second World War and everyone loved to listen to his stories. Ben had retired from the City of Winnipeg Parks and Recreation Department and found great pleasure in tending to his home garden. The family appreciates everyone's support and condolences, but there will be no formal services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Veterans Support Organization. Thank you to the wonderful staff of the fifth floor north and emergency care at the Victoria General Hospital, to Veterans Affairs Canada and Homecare for all the support the family received. I will always remember Ben as a kind gentle man with a wicked sense of humour and a pure heart even while playing cut-throat cribbage for a penny a point. I will miss him greatly. - Posted by: Dave Dunlop (Son-in-law) on: Aug 19, 2012
