• I was very saddened to just learn of Jeff's passing. We loved that he brought the Vipers to Calgary and I have very fond memories of how attentive Jeff was to my son Mike who was a regular visitor to games in his wheelchair. • I am deeply saddened to read of Jeff's passing. My deepest sympathy to the family. Jeff was a major part of my life and we shared many successes in both personal and buisness dealings for some 30 years. Jeff was like a brother to me and I will miss him very much. Jeff had a full life and loved making buisness fun. I owe a lot to him as he was a instrumental part of my success and friends like him are rare. • I worked for Jeff at Canadian Tire for 3 years (1982-1985) with Jeff being my boss and I am so saddened to hear the news. I always admired his wisdom about running a business and he always made me feel like I was an important part of his business's success. I've learned over the years that what you remember most about someone is how they made you feel and Jeff always made me feel good about who I was...I will always be grateful for that...although I have never met Christine or Neil, I remember how proud Jeff was of his two children that were very small at the time...I can relate to the grief and sadness that they feel as I just lost my father in Winnipeg on August 1st....a pain that one cannot descibe until they've lived it...God bless you all...Jeff is in God's hands now...no better place than that... - Posted by: Norma Woodward (Employee at Canadian Tire) on: Sep 02, 2012

• I got to know Jeff when I coached Neil in the early part of his hockey career. During those years I came to know Jeff as someone I could rely on for any kind of help or support because of his positive spirit. As time went by we had some minor business dealings together which gave me a chance to get to know him better. It was always a pleasure to sit down over lunch and kick around different business ideas. Jeff had a great sense of humor and he often reflected on the good times he had with Christine and Neil cycling through Europe. • Most of my memories of Jeff were at Jazz Golf and talking with Jeff at Neils Hockey games when Neil played in the MJHL for the Winnipeg South Blues. Jeff would always buy Ryan (my son) a hot chocolate whenever he saw him at the games. Ryan was about 7 or 8 and Jeff would always ask how hockey was going.
