Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION ROSE WIEBE (nee ARNASON) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother Marion Rose Wiebe. With the family by her side, mom slipped away peacefully at the age of 76 years, on August 18, 2012, at the St. Boniface Hospital. Marion is survived by her children Ken (Deborah) Thompson, Glenn (Ingrid) Thompson, Donna (Ted) Robinson, Janice Thompson, 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her sister Petrina, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by her parents Jon and Olaf Arnason, her husband John of 22 years, sister Viola and brothers Arne, John, Steve and Oscar. Mom loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time in her earlier years at Gimli, where they would all get together at the family owned cabins. Mom was good humoured, very witty and always quick with a funny remark. Mom volunteered at the pilgrim project for 20 years (helping the less fortunate) for which she received an award signed by Mayor Bill Norrie for her dedication. Mom was giving of herself and always helping if she could. Mom raised us by herself unconditionally. We miss you Mom, you will be forever in our hearts, and never forgotten. Special thanks to the St. Boniface Hospital for all of your special care while Mom was ill. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27 at the Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., across from Brookside Cemetery. Viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends desire, as Mom had love for animals, we would appreciate that donations be made in Mom's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 9Z9. The Bible speaks of guests bidden to a wedding who would not come. As befell "Udder Mother", her family was betokened to show up in their stead. Now the wedding is over. The main guest is no longer with us. At the time of death we disappear in a flash of light. So be it with you "Udder Mother".
