HELEN POSYNIAK With great sorrow we announce the death of our beloved Mother on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 99 years. Helen was born in Poland on May 16, 1913. She came to Canada in August 9, 1949. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Josie (Joe) Kachur and Chris Kornaga and friend Mario, loving grand-children, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her son Edward (1942), her parents and husband Frank in 1995. The family would like to thank the Maples Personal Care Staff for their excellent and compassionate care of our MOM. Also a big thank you to Dr. T. Babick for all the years he took care of MOM. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be said at St. John Cantius Church, 846 Burrows Ave. on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. • Over the years my parents visited Helen and Frank in Wpg and they visited Melfort as well. They ALL cared very deeply for each other, as family was important. Helen and Frank were in our (my) home and I appreciated their caring and love. I am sending my Sincere Sympathy on behalf of myself Shirley (now widowed, living in Calgary) and my 2 sisters in BC. What a long life Helen had! Blessings to all the family - Posted by: Shirley Casewell (My Dad was Frank's first cousin) on: Aug 22, 2012

  • Over the years( when I lived in Melfort SK) I had driven my parents to Wpg., where they stayed at Helen and Franks. How they loved being with each other! Helen and Frank also visited my (then) Melfort home. As the result I also have been at their Wpg home several times, years ago. A loving, caring couple, so compassionate. Being together was a blessing and true JOY for ALL!! BLESSED be both their memories. ----with love and sincere SYMPATHY from myself Shirley (widowed, Calgary now) sisters Ruth and Bev (both in Parksville BC) p.s.-I've been widowed 5 yrs now and moved to Calgary to my daughter (also a nurse!) Perhaps I'll catch up next Wpg visit. -Shirley - Posted by: Shirley Casewell (My Father Victor Posynick was a first cousin to Frank Posyniak, Helen's husband. Also my daughter Sa) on: Aug 22, 2012
