Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE LENCHYSHYN Peacefully on August 18, 2012, at the Health Sciences Centre, Lawrence Frederick Lenchyshyn passed away at the age of 70. He was predeceased by his father Frederick Lenchyshyn, his mother Nellie Spilchuk and his sister Alice Makodanski. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sonya Mykytyn of 49 years. Also left to cherish his memory are his three children, Lori (Denis) Laurencelle, Tim (Grace) Lenchyshyn and Shelley Lenchyshyn as well as his precious grandchildren Christopher Lenchyshyn, Riley Laurencelle, Jeremy Lenchyshyn, Shae-Lynn Laurencelle and Amy Lenchyshyn. He is also survived by his sister Joanne (Julien) Gerard, brother-in-law Tony Makodanski, brother Dennis (Sally) Lenchyshyn and sister Dianne Wallace as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Lawrence was born and raised in Glenlea, MB until the age of 21. In 1962 he moved to Niverville to pursue a life of dairy and grain farming. He married the Love of his Life Sonya in 1963. He was very proud to be farming with his son Tim for many years. Lawrence was a very generous, kind, heart-warming and social person. He loved his friends very much, talking with them on the phone and visiting with them every chance he could get. He was a lifelong member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church. He served as a member on the board of directors for the Howden Community Hall for approximately 12 years. A special thank you to the care givers and to Dr. Chris Burnett for their care during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Drive, Steinbach, MB with Deacon Twerdun officiating. Interment at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish Cemetery, 1282 Red River Drive, St. Norbert, MB. Flowers are gratefully declined.
