Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH TEICHRIB (nee PHELPS) May 31, 1946 - August 25, 2012 It is with such sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Teichrib on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital. Ruth will be remembered lovingly by her husband Gerald, her two daughters Christine Gardiner (Colin) and Colleen Helgason, her mother Margaret Phelps, her sister Bev Hindle (John), her grandchildren Leah Kirkup and Max Gardiner, her niece Allyson and nephew D'Alton, Aunt Adair and many cousins. Ruth was predeceased by her father Henry Phelps in 2005. Ruth was born and raised in Winnipeg. I was so saddened by the news that Ruthie was gone. It is years and years since I saw her or her sister Beverly, but hearing of her passing is truly a heartache. I am thinking of you all and was glad to read of the things in her life that made it joyous. I have a lot of great memories of growing up down the street!!! Ruth and I were in the same Toastmasters club a couple of years ago. I remember her speech on her red car. It was one of the funniest speeches I have ever heard. Afterward she said she isn't funny at all. She was and she will be missed. - Posted by: Andrew Stambrook (friend) on: Sep 19, 2012

Our condolences on the loss of your mom. I have fond memories of her. One in particular was when I was about 7 years old and she took me along to the Red River Exhibition with you and my sister. I was about one and a half inches too short to ride the bumper cars and she somehow convinced the attendant that I would be ok and pleaded with him to let me go on the ride. I was so excited....on that day she was my hero. Her spirit will live on in you, your sister and your kids. Take care - Posted by: Jeewan Sachdev (Friend) on: Sep 10, 2012

I worked for Ruth for three summers in my university days, at the mines branch. She was one of the most caring, compassionate, loving people I had ever met. Even though I hadn't talked to her in 10 years she'll always hold a place in my heart. God bless you Ruth, I'll see you in the next life. - Posted by: Chris (Former employee) on: Aug 29, 2012
