Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINO RUZZIER Peacefully, in Ottawa, with his daughter by his side, on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at age 86. Predeceased by his wife Maria (Rozac) Ruzzier in 2010, his sister Norma (Giuseppe), his sister Ada and her husband Carlo, and his parents, Giovanni and Maria (Bolci) Ruzzier. Survived by his daughter Laura, of Ottawa. Born November 2, 1925 in Pirano, Istria, Italy (now Slovenia), Lino, his wife and daughter arrived in Canada in 1957 from Trieste, Italy, where they had spent 18 months in a refugee camp as displaced persons. He and his wife raised their daughter in Winnipeg and moved to Ottawa in 1999 to be with her. Lino will be lovingly remembered by his own and his wife's families and many cousins and dear friends. A special thank you to the Alberto DeCecco family, Drs. Susan Sollars, John Thompson, and Rolf Buhrmann, and staff of the Acute Monitoring Area of the Ottawa General Hospital. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor), Ottawa on Tuesday, September 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 427 Booth Street (at Gladstone). Entombment will follow at Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Canadian Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. Riposo sereno in santa pace.
