VICTOR LIONEL KURAN May 1, 1914 August 23, 2012 In loving memory of Victor Lionel Kuran who passed away peacefully at the age of 98 while at home at Burquitlam Lions Care. He is predeceased by wife Isabel Kuran (Shanks), brothers Raymond and Robert, and his sister Mary (Patterson). This family patriarch is survived by son David (Virginia Kuran), daughter Linda (John Western), granddaughter Jessica (Matthies), and grandsons Matthew Kuran and Allen Western. Vic was born in the rural municipality of Whitemouth, Manitoba. Vic worked as a stationary engineer after his military service in the Second World War. He met Isabel, who later became his wife, in military hospital. He was an avid outdoorsman and curler for as long as his health allowed. The interment service will be attended by immediate family only at the Maple Ridge cemetery followed by a celebration of life service at Burnett Fellowship, 20639 123 Ave., Maple Ridge on Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. All friends and family are invited to this celebration service.
