Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUNE MARY MAY (nee EISLER) September 4, 1929 - September 6, 2012 It is with deep sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of our dearly loved mother and grandmother, June, on September 6, 2012 at the age of 83. June was one of six children born to Harold and Isabella Eisler and for the most part grew up in St. James. She is predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings, Bill, Iris, Doug, Bob and her twin sister, Joyce. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Janet (Rick) Hewson, Linda (Tim) Cummings, Joanne and Jim, six grandchildren, Jennifer, Matthew, Laura, Steven, Kelly (Mike) Wiebe and Michael (Jacquie) Hewson, and three great-grandchildren, Cole, Riel and Mila. Throughout her early years, she was very outgoing and had a wide range of activities such as basketball, bowling, downhill skiing, water skiing, tennis, and horseback riding. She was always an artist at heart, attending art school in Vancouver as a young woman and loved to sketch all of her life. Mom has always been quick-witted, loving, with an excellent sense of humour. Sharpest Trivial Pursuit player we know of, her quick accuracy surprising all who took her on. Grandma was devoted to her grandkids and thoroughly enjoyed spending her time interacting with them and those days were precious to all. She was a charitable woman and left a positive memory with people she assisted throughout the years. Mom will be deeply missed by all her friends and family. We thank all the wonderful staff at Charleswood Care Centre for their loving compassionate care and comfort they provided to Mom and her family. A celebration of her life will be held at Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on September 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish can make a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.mb.ca 885-9715
