• Dick We just read about your beautiful wife, and we knew we just had to send a little note to you. After getting to know you when your brother Jules passed on, how special a man you are, and how much you loved Claire, we just could not let it go by without saying how sorry we were to read that you lost your friend, love and companion of so many years. We are sorry we never got to meet her as she was too ill to travel back then, but we knew how special she was by the way you glowed when you spoke of her. Funny how she died the same day as Jules, must have some special meaning in that. They must be together, laughing and feeling well. Wish we could help you through this, but take time and alot of love from family and good friends. If ever in Ottawa, we are here. • Claire was an amazing person. When she and Dick moved into the city we felt blessed to have such wonderful people come into our lives to be our neighbours. Claire left a huge impact on both of my daughters. I remember not long before she went in for a hospital stay she was outside painting a picture of our street. She was an amazing person you could count on even though she was ill she always put that aside to help others. To her loving and wonderful children and beautiful granddaughters; life is too short. Take comfort in the fact that your mom is always with you and when you look up at the night sky she is that bright star shining down upon you. To Dick; you have many people surrounding you with love. • When Claire told me she was going to be a "MaMere"; I said the only other MaMere I knew was mine. It simply warmed my heart. She was so happy to meet her next generation. Your wife and mom's energy was electric and addictive. She brought so much to our team. Her arms were always open and she included your dad's when we needed storage for all of our stuff! Claire's soul will always be a part of my heart. I will never eat another apple without thinking of her.
