G. ALLAN MACKENZIE former President of Sony of Canada Ltd. Sony of Canada has announced that former President G. Allan MacKenzie passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012. Allan was President and Chief Operating Officer of Sony Canada from 1993 to 1995 and Chairman of the Executive Committee from 1987 to 1995. Allan will be sincerely missed by all as he was both a friend and a mentor and he cared deeply for Sony Canada. Allan's most recent roles at Sony were Sony of Canada Board member, Chairman of the Sony Canada Compensation Committee and President of the Sony Canada Charitable Foundation. We are all grateful for his dedication and devotion to Sony of Canada says Doug Wilson, President and COO, Sony of Canada. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his wife, Valerie, and his children and grandchildren.

Allan Mackenzie passed away at Victoria General Hospital on September 10, 2012. A private family service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on September 15 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.   • Allan was the Commander of the Air Force when I was but a junior officer, so I only got to know Allan a few years ago during a business trip we both took to Israel.
