When Uncle Mike and Aunt Helen used to come to our cottage , we used to take Uncle Mike on our boat fishing on the lake for a couple of hours , he would always fall asleep and we would tug hard on his fishing line and he would awake and start reeling like crazy - until we started to laugh and he got the joke. He was good natured about the kibbitz and always laughed.Only got to see him when they passed through on a trip. Sad we lost contact sad to know he is gone. - Posted by: John Izaryk (Nephew) on: Sep 06, 2015

I remember when we were children living at the farm. Uncle Mike would stop by and ask us if we would like to go with him to the store to pick up the mail. I always wanted to go for the ride with him. He was kind to us. One of the fond memories I have of him. Rest in Peace Uncle Mike. My condolences to Elsie. Julie-Anne Petriew - Posted by: Julie-Anne Petriew (Niece) on: Sep 20, 2012

I will always remember my Uncle Mike from my childhood. Regretfully, I haven't seen much of him since then, but I will always remember the joy he brought us when we were small children, one of a few who did that. What a nice man he was. My condolences to Elsie and all who will miss him. Rest in peace Uncle Mike. - Posted by: Diana Petriew (Neice ) on: Sep 18, 2012
