IDA NEIL With sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Ida Neil who passed on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital at 83 years of age. Left to mourn are her six children Marlaine, Larry (Diane), Doug, Wayne (Sandra), Dean, George (Debbie) and 14 grandchildren Kevin, Heather, Joe, Rhonda, Brittany, Kathy, Darren, Stacey, Sherene, Samantha, Shana, Lindsey, Michael and Amanda as well as several great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.

  • Mom, I am so sorry I couldn't be there for your memorial. You are a women of compassion, the love you held for us through all our trials and tribulations will live eternal. You asked no quarter but gave so freely of your heart and soul. I can only speak from personal experience in saying that I can't thank you enough for your love and support after Lynnda passed away. I hope I was helpful to you with the passing of your love, George. I know our chin wags on the phone helped me, and we became so much closer, friends. I will miss the shared tears, but even more Mom, I'll miss the laughter we shared. You just have a way about you that seems to make everything ok. Godspeed Mom.
