Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN MARGARET GEISLER (nee WICKBERG) Helen Geisler passed away following a brief illness on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Helen was predeceased by her husband Victor, her parents Karin and Victor Wickberg, her brother Bert, his wife Frances, and her brother Ralph Wickberg. Born at Winnipeg in 1921, Helen graduated from St. John's High School in 1938, worked as a secretary, latterly for Canadian Pacific Air Lines, Vancouver B.C. In her early years she enjoyed singing with St. Giles and Young United Church Choirs. Following marriage in 1949, Helen and Vic moved to Vancouver where they enjoyed many years at Marpole United Church. There, they met many lifelong friends. Helen and Vic cared for Helen's mother with whom they made annual, memorable trips to the family cottage at Grand Beach. They returned to Winnipeg in 2006. Courtesy, appreciation and kindness to others were Helen's way of living all her life. She will be lovingly remembered by her family; sister-in-law Pearl Wickberg, nieces Karen Wikberg and Cheryl (Gordon) Bird and their families all of Vancouver B.C., Rosaline (Rui) Matos (Winnipeg), Lois Lloyd (nee Geisler) of Androssan, Alta, Verna Mitchell, the Jacobson, Baydak and Oborne families. We are grateful for the wonderful care provided by Maureen and Ally of the We Care' staff, the visiting nurses from the St. James Nursing Unit and the kind support from her condo neighbors. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Thomson In the Park in care of arrangements (204) 925-1120

The world has lost a beautiful, gentle, sweet soul, with the passing of my cousin, Helen. Helen was genuine, caring, and fun, with a spontaneous, infectious laugh. I will miss her always. - Posted by: Carol Ann Collins (Cousin) on: Sep 18, 2012
