Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIVIO BERTOSA September 2 , 1942 - September 14, 2012 Peacefully, with his family at his side, Livio passed away at Health Sciences Centre on Friday, September 14, 2012. Livio is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rinalda; daughter Elda (Gordon) and son Livio (Kathy); and his pride and joy, granddaughter Nicole and grandson Ryan. Livio was born and raised in Brdari, Croatia. In 1967, Livio met the love of his life Rinalda in Italy. They married in Italy and immigrated to Canada together in 1967. He worked as a Machine Operator for Accro Furniture Industries for 36 years. In his spare time, Livio enjoyed gardening, hunting and making homemade wine. His greatest pleasure was spending time with and caring for his family. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre for all who were involved with Livio's care. Prayers will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Slovenian Church, 95 MacDonald Avenue, with Father Dado officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.

I still can't believe he is gone. When I think of Barba Livio it was when I was very small at your place. Listening to him and my dad talk at the kitchen table. They were hilarious together. The language! I cherish those moments. Both of their laughs and Barba Livio's big smile. I hope they are both together now resting in peace. Dear Rinalda and family Our Sympathy to your family. Elda told me how he loved his grandchildren and family. The Lord has decided to take him early maybe he was missing an angel, to look after his children. I'm sure he will be missed but never forgotten. All the memories you will all treasure.
