Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLUCILLE ALLISON STEWART (BABS) Lucille Stewart passed away suddenly on September 13, 2012 at Victoria General Hospital. She was born October 28, 1927 in Winnipeg to Bill and Dorothy Seller. She spent her early years in Brandon and her adult life in Winnipeg. The Waverly Retirement Residence was her home for the past four years. She married Ross Stewart in 1954 and they raised their family in the Riverview neighbourhood. The majority of her working years were at the Canadian National Railroad, retiring in 1991 from the depot . She was a 65 year member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was a lifelong spiritual follower of Unity Church. She pursued activities that kept her engaged in learning, enjoyed theatre and musical concerts. Friends and family were very important to Babs. Co-workers from her days at the C.N.R., her sorority sisters, fellow worshipers at Unity Church, special friends Gail, Connie and her friends at the Waverly, all contributed to her joyful days. Over the years she enjoyed lake life and many family times; at the Seller cottage on Granite Lake, as well as family cottages in Gimli and Grand Beach. She dearly missed the bond of her only sister, Doreen Rosmus, who predeceased her in October, 2011. She will be fondly remembered with love by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin (Gladys), Paul (Dawn), grandsons Graham, Lawrence, Patrick, and granddaughter Zoe. Her grace, etiquette, specially wrapped gifts and stories of times past will be cherished. Also feeling the loss are her niece Janet, and nephews Ken and Bill. Babs' family invites you to join them in a celebration of her life at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.

IT'S TOUCHING THAT OUR LIVES ARE BECOMING SO MUCH DIMINISHED BY THE ABSENCE NOW OF THOSE LONG-TERM FRIENDS WHOM WE HAVE HELD SO DEAR, MY ONLY SISTER, DOREEN, AND BABS WERE VERY CLOSE THANKS TO THEIR COMMON MEMBERSHIP IN BETA SIGMA PHI. I KNOW THAT BABS WAS THERE TO CONTACT, SUPPORT AND COMFORT DOREEN WHILE SHE WAS SUFFERING DURING THE PERIOD WHILE AGE-RELATED PROBLEMS WERE ATTACKING HER HEALTH. THANKS, BABS, FOR THE MANY FOND REMEMBERANCES; PLEASE SAY "HELLO" AND PICK A FEW YELLOW ROSES WITH DOREEN. - H - Posted by: HAROLD McCORT (DOREEN'S BROTHER) (FRIEND VIA DOREEN) on: Sep 22, 2012
