AUDREY ELSIE MARLENE WILSON (nee PARISEAU) On Tuesday, September 18, 2012 we were shocked that the day would have us say farewell so suddenly. Holding her hands and surrounding her were Ed, husband of 55 years (less two days), her daughter Laura Reimer (Rick, Graham, Danielle, Jayne, Jill, Jenna), her son Jim Wilson (Audrey, Angus and Lochlan), her daughter Margo Kehler (Tim, Zoe and Mia) and her nieces Karen and Colleen and their children, her brothers-in-law Dick Askew and Edgar Reimer. What a testimony to the legacy of her life! We sang and prayed; she would have loved it. Audrey peacefully crossed over and we know she is with Jesus. Audrey was the youngest of four, born to Gordon and Ethel Pariseau on January 14, 1935 and grew up in Winnipeg the youngest sister of Marjorie (John), Bert (May) and Alva (Dick). On September 20, 1957 she married Ed and began a life characterized by passion, energy and faith. They moved all over Canada, adding great friends and their three children. Audrey was very proud of her Scots/Irish/French/Cree heritage. In May, she celebrated birthdays in Ireland with Laura and Karen. Mom's life was her family, and shared her enthusiasm for God through love, prayer, laughing and any practical way that she thought would bring other people joy. It was the cry of her heart to praise God with her life so that others could know how very much He loves them. So many people were cheered by her warm heart, big smile and genuine interest in them! Audrey / Audgie / Momma / Blams / Nanny / Auntie R , we will really miss you. You have inspired us and we will walk this road without you with the strength, compassion, courage and faith you lived so well. Love ya! 123 Viewing at 12:30 p.m. and Celebration Service and reception at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 22 in Springs Church Chapel, 595 Lagimodiere Blvd.; to be laid to rest at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, we reflect Audrey's heart for Christian education. Donations may be forwarded to Springs Christian Academy (springschurch.com/ca) or Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School (wmes.ca/) in Audrey's memory. Thank you.

Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • Dear, dear Mama I know that you are in paradise, sitting in the Lord's presence, drinking in his glory and love... I know that he smiled and embraced you saying "well done, my good and faithful servant". I know that you are reunited with so many who have gone before us, who loved and served Him as faithfully as you. I know that your knees no longer hurt and you dont need to put drops in your eyes, and arthritis no longer bends your gentle hands... I know all this and when i ache with missing you I remind myself that you are just beyond the horizon... On the other shore and that I will see you again. But oh Mamma, i miss you. I miss your laughter, your wisdom, your sincerity, your friendship... Your unconditional love and acceptance. I miss your friendship. Paradise is that much sweeter because you are there. I will miss you each and everyday. I love you higher than the sky, wider than the world, deeper than the ocean AND MORE. - Posted by: Margo (Daughter) on: Apr 26, 2013

  • I didn't know until today that Audrey had passed. I met her in our first semester of International School of Ministry. She was always joyful and a wise encourager. She would often say how wonderful it was that young people such as myself would pursue God and His calling so passionately. She took delight in hearing stories of conferences and missions. And she would frequently talk of her children, grandchildren and husband, Ed. Thank you for introducing me to your family, who I now call friends, and thank you for your friendship and encouragement, Audrey. - Posted by: Kyle Kaye (Friend) on: Jan 02, 2013

  • My Heart goes out to Audrey Wilson's family. It was just today, Oct. 1, that my friend Verl called to tell me. I was shocked of the sad news. I met Audrey at Christian Women's, I enjoyed her friendship and was Blessed to be her friend. I miss my Sweet friend. - Posted by: Phyllis (Phyl) Dreger (A dear friend.) on: Oct 01, 2012

  • Oh My! Joannie Halas just told us about Audrey! We are so saddened and sorry to hear of her passing. It was only a year ago that Audrey was so comforting to Fran as we went through a protracted release of Audrey's friend Elinore into God's hands. Audrey was always there for people and we send our thoughts and prayers to Ed and the family at this time! Tom and Fran - Posted by: The Carberry's Dauphin (friend) on: Sep 25, 2012

  • Dear Ed and family. We want to express our sincere condolences to you and all the family. We were so shocked to hear about her passing. We talked on the phone this summer and were going to get together for coffee but never did. I got an email from her about a week before she passed. She was such a wonderful person and I am so glad I got to know her and have her in my family. Deepest sympathies to all the family. Her family meant the world to her. • I will always treasure the many happy activities we shared, movies, cards, garage sales, meals, chats, camp fires, hot tubs, long walks on the beach and scooter rides. She was great to be around because she was so full of life, had a generous heart, and a ready laugh. She adored her children and grand kids. I will keep her in my heart forever. - Posted by: Leslie (Friend) on: Sep 21, 2012

  • Ed and Family, We would like to extend our deepest condolences on the sudden passing of Audrey. We were so shocked to read this in the paper yesterday as we had just had a visit with her "across the fence" last weekend at the lake. She was in such great spirits, sharing pictures and stories with my Mom. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. • Although the memories I have are when we (all the children) were small, I will always remember her laugh and her smile. She always made me feel so comfortable and accepted in her home. In the last few years she has blessed me with funny emails and christian thoughts. She was a special person and her presence in this life will never be forgotten. God bless - Posted by: Alexandra Spall (family friend) on: Sep 20, 2012
