Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) BOWN MACMILLAN September 16, 1952 - September 14, 2012 Peacefully after a brief illness with his wife by his side. Beloved husband of Kathryn Noel. Son of the late Donald Macmillan and Roberta Bown of Cookshire, Quebec. Much loved brother of Arnold (Gail), Neil (Lise), and the late Brenda (Denis). Cremation has taken place. Sincere thanks to his many dear friends and colleagues. To honour Bob's work as a former teacher, principal, professor, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Research (the University of Western Ontario), and Dean of Education (the University of Manitoba), an award for graduate study in Educational Leadership is being organized. Katheryn, I was heart broken to hear of Bob's passing. I felt very lucky to have him as a professor that very first year at StFX. He was a wonderful prof and I know our class always felt a special bond with you and Bob. Now, as a professor here at X myself, I have been fortunate to run into Bob at conferences over the years. It was always wonderful to see him, like no time had gone by at all. HE will be missed but has left an incredible mark on those us of who were his students.
