KENNETH DONALD MASON October 13, 1939 - September 27, 2012 Suddenly on September 27, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital Ken left us, surrounded by his family. He is predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Garth and daughter-in-law Jeannine. He is survived by his wife Diane (nee Robertson); sons Randy (Davina), Richard (Susanne); grandchildren Jocelyn (Sean), Nash, Reese and David; brothers George (Louise), Colin, Lenard (Sharon); sisters Evelyn (Richard), Thelma (Reg); brother-in-law John (Sharen), and many nieces, nephews and close friends. Ken was retired from Winnipeg Transit and also spent many years very active in LaVerendrye Game and Fish and Manitoba Wildlife Federation. He enjoyed bowling, cards, fishing, hunting and camping. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg. Burial to take place at a later date. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Service as well as the staff at the Emergency Department of the St. Boniface Hospital for their heroic work in his final hours. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manitoba Wildlife Federation - Youth Programs, 70 Stevenson Road, Winnipeg, MB R3H 0W7 or a charity of your choice.
