Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOFIE ELIZABETH KAMINSKI (NAZAR) Sofie Elizabeth Kaminski (Nazar) passed away in her sleep on August 15, 2012 at Rosewood Manor in Richmond, B.C. at the age of 97 years. Sofie was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Wilhelm Leo, her first still-born son, Joseph, her grandson Dustin Kolowski, as well as by her sisters Mary, Jennie, Josephine, Helen, Nellie and Elizabeth and her stepsiblings, Valencia, Eddie, Tony and Walter. She is survived by her daughter Isa, son Leonard (Koren), her grandchildren Thea Kaminski, Lileya Tod, and great-grandchildren Andrew, Angela, Eleksa, Mikhayla, Hayden Tod; one great-great-grandchild, Ember (Andrew); her sisters Lee Gellner of Regina and Jean Pazdzerski of Stone-wall, with whom she was very close, and her family: David Padzerski, Marlene Kinsley, Janice Salamandra; and their families Dr. David and Mark Kinsley; Marley and Darcy Salamandra. Born in Rama, SK in 1915 she was one of thirteen children. She met and wed Wilhelm in Porcupine Plain, SK, where they homesteaded then left for Winnipeg in 1937, moving to Richmond, B.C. in 1966, where they ran Persopal Import/Export. Her ashes will be interred with those of her husband Wilhelm, at Boundary Bay Cemetery, Ladner-Delta, B.C.
