ADA JEAN DAVIDSON (nee TULLOCH) November 4, 1922 - September 23, 2012 With sad hearts her family announces the passing of Jean Davidson in the early hours of Sunday morning at the age of 89 years. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Laurie, son-in-law Don Hester, sons Bruce, Ross and Bill and daughter-in-law Colleen; treasured grandchildren, David and Kathleen Hester, and Iain and Michael Davidson, and her sister and closest friend Kathleen Loucks. Jean was predeceased by her husband Ross, her parents John and Ada Tulloch, and brothers and sisters Arnold, Bill, Helen and Isabel. Born in Winnipeg, Jean grew up in Invermay and Wadena, Saskatchewan. After graduating from High School, she left small town Saskatchewan to complete business school in Saskatoon. Jean worked as a secretary in Toronto, Snow Lake, Woodstock and Winnipeg, eventually marrying Ross and settling in Winnipeg to build a life together and raise a family. Jean always wanted to be a Chartered Accountant, not an easy goal for a young woman in 1940. In 1973 with Ross, she became the owner and operator of the Silver Birch Resort. She liked gardening, dining out and travel, visiting China and the Caribbean. Jean was always reading. She made the best butter tarts and chocolate chip cookies but disliked daily cooking. In her long life, Jean always looked forward. Her strength, stoicism and sense of humour sustained her through her years, remaining with her until the very end. A family service in Brookside Cemetery will be held for Jean on October 3, 2012. In memory of Jean, if desired, think of the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, 11003-409 Tache Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Miss Me But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me I want no rites in a gloom filled room Why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little, but not too long And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that once we shared Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take And each one must go alone It's all a part of the Master's plan, A step on the road to home. NEIL BARDAL FUNERAL CENTRE 204-949-2200 www.nbardal.mb.ca
