CHARRYN THEYLON MANNING (CHARON LUZNY)
Born: Dec 30, 1946
Date of Passing: Sep 25, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARRYN THEYLON MANNING (CHARON LUZNY) December 30, 1946 - September 25, 2012 Peacefully at home, Charryn Manning, at age 65, of Winnipeg. Charryn is sadly missed by her children Raymond (Kathryn), Cheryl and Kim; grandchildren Karen, Jeff, Brittney, Brendin, Tyler, Alex and Brayden; great-granddaughter Lexus; brothers Michael (Anne) and Wayne (Carrie); her Dad, Stan and her lifelong friend Karen (Alvin) Keppler. Charryn was predeceased by her mother Gerrie, grandparents Irene and Albert Query and her brother Bob. Charryn was a creative soul who could decorate, organize and improve everything that came her way. She worked in several industries and found her calling first as a Florist at Heaven Scent Flowers and Gifts, and then in Real Estate. Her home reflected her personality with every detail taken care of perfectly. Charryn lived for her children, always wanting the best for them. Grandchildren brought her great joy and countless hours of baby time which she cherished. Charryn was able to take a few vacations to warmer places, the most notable of which was with her children on her own bus through the U.S., to Vegas. It was the trip of a lifetime. Her best memories were created by her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She enjoyed having the grandchildren for sleepovers and loved to have them around her. Charryn felt very lucky and was so grateful to have her family. Charryn had many friends and kept in touch with the Magnus Girls from Shaughnessy Heights throughout the years. It was fitting that they gathered around Charryn for one last reunion, only a short time ago. Charryn told us often that I did it my way and that was something that will always be in our memories. She walked in beauty; grace in every step. Charryn loved beautiful things: unicorns, butterflies, and roses of every colour. Our thanks go to Dr. Fatoye, Dr. Klippenstein and the entire staff of 5 Unit 1 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Rachelle from Respiratory and the Palliative Care Team who made it possible to bring Mom home. Pallbearers will be Raymond Conway, Jeff Conway, Tyler Moore, Garrett Luzny, David Luzny, Alvin Keppler and Keen Flamand Viewing 9:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6, followed by a service at 9:30 a.m. at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, interment at Brookside Cemetery. WELL MY 1ST ENCOUNTER WITH MY DEAR FREIND CHARRRYN, WAS WHEN WE MET @ PORTAGE AVENUE WHEELIES ROLLER RINK. WE MET THROUGH OUR KIDS THAT WERE ROLLER SKATING, AND OF COURSE WE DID THAT ALSO! FOR YEARS WE HAVE KEPT IN TOUCH AS AQUANTENANCES, ONE THING FOR SURE I COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON CHARRYN TO SET ME STRAIGHT WHENEVER I WOULD DO SOMETHING WRONG OR JUST PLAIN STUPID, HAHA ESPECIALLY WHERE MY KIDS WERE CONCERNED,WE WENT THROUGH SOME TOUGH TIMES TOGETHER AND SHE WAS THERE WHEN I BECAME SICK AND NEEDED SOMEONE TO TALK WITH (THAT WAS JUST CHARRYN) I REGRET DEEPLY THIS PAST YEAR I HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO THE SAME FOR HER. HAD I KNOWN SHE HAD BECOME SO ILL, I WOULD HAVE DONE MY BEST TO TRY TO BE OF SOME COMPFORT TO HER AS WELL. MY DEEP REGRET IS THAT I WAS JUST TO WRAPPED UP IN MY OWN LIFE'S PROBLEMS & ILLNESS, I WILL HAVE TO LIVE WITH THAT GUILT OF NOT BEING THERE AS WELL AS TO SAY ONE LAST GOODBYE TO MY FREIND OF SO LONG, ALL I CAN HOPE IS THAT WHERE SHE MAY BE THE ANGELS ARE DOING A HAPPY DANCE TO WELCOME ONE MORE BLESSED ANGEL INTO THE FOLD! AND THAT SHE MAY TRULY KNOW MY HEART AND HOW SORRY AND HEAVY IT IS TODAY... THERE WERE MANY HAPPY TIMES MY FREIND OF SHARING PIZZA LAND PEPPERONI AND CHEESE PIZZAS WHILE LISTENING TO ALL OUR OLDIES ON YOUR TAPES OF MUSIC, WE COULD ALWAYS LAUGH AT SOMETHING DUMB!!AND NO THAT WOULD NOT BE ME HAHAHA, THERE ARE JUST TO MANY WARM MEMORIES TO LIST MY FRIEND, BUT EACH & EVERY ONE I WILL HOLD CLOSE WITH YOU IN MY HEART AND THOUGHTS DAILY..I WILL TRULY MISS YOU (EVEN THOUGH YOU WOULD NOT HAVE HEARD ME SAY THAT ) HAHA, I WILL MISS MOST OF ALL AS I HAVE IN THE LAST FEW YEARS OF JUST YOU & ONLY YOU, OF THE TREE AT XMAS TIME, AS EVERYONE KNOWS NO ONE COULD DECORATE A XMAS TREE QUITE LIKE CHARRYN OR CELEBRATE WITH DECOR AS WELL !! MOST BEAUTIFUL TREE IN THE WORLD..I WOULD BRING PEOPLE OVER TO HER HOUSE JUST TO ADMIRE HER TREE AND FOR HOURS I COULD JUST SIT AND DAYDREAM I HAD SUCH PEACE AT XMAS JUST BEING IN HER HOUSE WATCHING THE TREE SPARKLE...MUCH LIKE MY FREIND'S EYES! GOD BE WITH YOU MY DEAR FREIND & MAY YOU REST IN PEACE...I WILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON ! AND I'M SURE YOU'RE UP THERE LAUGHING & SAYING OH GOD NO, NOT YOU AGAIN, I WANT SOME PEACE!! HAHA I MAY BRING SOME ROLLER BLADES GF BECAUSE I KNOW YOUR LEG IS GOOD AS NEW NOW !!!I LOVE YOU MY FREIND .. KIM CHERYL RAYMOND, YOU WERE THE LUCKIEST OF ALL, BUT I DO NOT NEED TO TELL YOU THAT YOUR MOM LOVED YOU KIDS SO MUCH, SOMETIMES TOO MUCH. AS WE MOMS SOMETIMES TEND TO DO! BUT MAYBE WE CAN NEVER GET TOO MUCH LOVE ESPECIALLY IF WE GET IT BACK, AS YOU 3 GAVE BACK TO YOUR MOM, ESPECIALLY IN THE END WHEN SHE NEEDED YOU ALL MOST, YOU WERE THERE ALL THE WAY!!!GOOD JOB! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES AND BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER AS YOUR MOM WOULD HAVE WANTED YOU ALL TO DO! LOVE ALWAYS WITH MY CONDOLENCES....SHANNON - Posted by: SHANNON TERNOVETSKY (FREIND) on: Oct 05, 2012

Charryn was our babysitter when my mom, Mary, and my dad, Vimy, Kennedy went out for the evening. I will always remember Charryn bringing her Coca Cola to our house. She would amaze my sisters and me with her keen ability to name the song that just about to play on the radio (when just the first few notes of the song were played). Charryn re-appeared in my life again when she called me to babysit her two kids and she was dating my cousin (none of us knew she was dating Vern) but it soon came out when he came to pick me up to babysit. We have such fond memories of her. Mom would always bump into her at the mall or the grocery store. Rest in peace Charryn. You fought a strong battle against all your ailments. We will always hold you in our hearts. - Posted by: Mary and Dianne Kennedy (friend) on: Oct 04, 2012

To the family of Charryn Manning. I was so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. I knew Charryn as a kid as my family and I lived just down the street from the Luzny Family Home on Magnus Avenue in Shaughnessy Heights. Charryn and I went to Shaughnessy Park School together from Kindergardin to Grade 6 and then off to Sisler we went where we lost contact only to reunite once again for each and every Magnus Avenue Reunion at Christmas time and at our summer get togethers. Our very first summer get together was at your mom's house on Magnus Avenue. Charryn was the first to volunteer and welcome us to her home...I remember it was a beautiful summer day and we had such fun as the Magnus Avenue girls. Charryn made a perfect hostess made us all feel so welcome and because of that success the tradition of summer gatherings carries on today...due in large part to the initiative your mom took so many years ago. I always looked forward to seeing her at our Christmas and summer gatherings and reminiscing with her about the good old days...she will surely be missed and always remembered. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and wishing you peace and love at this very difficult time. Sincerely, Edna (Pedlar) Lee. - Posted by: Edna (Pedlar) Lee (Friend) on: Oct 01, 2012

Amongst the many fine things I remember about Charon, is that years ago she told me one of the funniest jokes I've ever heard. She told it with such a straight face that the punch line was totally unexpected and I'm sure I laughed for a half hour. To this day I can still picture her telling that joke and every time I tell it I try to tell it the same way she did. I’d like to think now that every time I tell that joke we will both telling it together and laughing together. - Posted by: Ken Botan (Friend) on: Oct 01, 2012
