WILLIAM HARRY DUNITS It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, husband, grampa, and great grampa, Bill Dunits, on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at the age of 77 years. Left to cherish Bill's memory are his wife Helen of 54 years of marriage; son, Ralph and Brenda; daughters Debbie and Barbra; grandchildren, Jason, Amber, Brett, Rob, Dennie and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Tesa, Tyra, Justin and Logan; as well as by his sister, Nellie Dunlop. Bill retired from Winnipeg Hydro in 1990. He enjoyed his retirement with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved spending time trying to win at Keno, but as you know grampa, we as a family hit the jackpot, having been blessed with your love, kindness, wisdom and support to all of us. In compliance with the family's wishes a private family service will be held. We would like to thank Dr. Thomas and all the staff at Concordia Hospital. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • We will always remember the generosity and laughter in your home when we were all children. Your aunty Nellie was my Mom's best friend when she moved to the big city of Winnipeg. Of course her brother Bill who we only knew as uncle Sonny was also a great friend to her too. Your Mom, Aunty Helen's brother Johnny was one of my Dad's best and lifelong friends as well. There are many pictures of tea parties and birthdays at all of our homes. I'd like to thank Ralphie for putting up with all of us girls and our Barbies and tea parties. I will always remember your Dad's laughter and his wonderful smile. Andrea & Cindy - Posted by: Andrea DeRuddere ( Kuruliak) (Friend of family) on: Oct 09, 2012

  • We both really liked Grampa Dunits. My dad would seek him out at family gatherings; together they would share casino stories. I just liked his smile and was drawn in. Someone needs to carry on the " Bday Loonie Tradition''. Much care, sympathy and love - Aunty Corinne and Great Grampa Frank. - Posted by: Corinne and Frank Dirr () on: Oct 04, 2012
