Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I have fond memories of "Mrs. Kowalenko". She was Mrs Kowalenko to me because when I met her I was only about 14 years old. She allowed her son to have me and many of his other school friends over to play in the rec room. We were sometimes loud and always somewhat silly, yet she let us come over all the time. I especially remember having some of her delicious home made perogys and holpochi. Walter always knew when his mom was making cabbage rolls because as we approached the house the front windows were all steamed up. I wore a leather jacket she got for me from Victoria leather, later on my children wore that jacket and they could not believe how old it was. Sorry for your loss Walter and Carol.
