SIMON TUKUNDUM Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, October 7, 2012, Simon Tukundum of Swan Lake, MB, passed away at the age of 74 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Grace Esquash, children: Rachel Esquash (Lloyd Cook), Sharyn (Sam) Sumner, Troy Esquash (Crystal Hotomani), Tim Esquash (Virginia Desjarlais), Carol Tukundum and Christopher Lee Esquash; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his two sisters: Minnie Tukundum and Elsie Cameron and brother Edward Peters, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Simon was predeceased by his parents Harry and Madeline Tukundum, four sisters Rose, Mary, Evelyne and Dorothy, daughter Colleen Esquash and granddaughter Tara Brooke Esquash. Pallbearers will be Rodney Esquash, Tyler Cameron, Kenneth Esquash Jr., Nathan Sutherland, Nicolas Sutherland and Daniel Pratt. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kelly Scott, Raymond Scott, Dennis Scott, Barry Tukundum, Keith Cameron and Trevor Peters. The family would like to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, Floor 5E for taking good care of Simon. A Traditional Wake will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Swan Lake First Nation Hall on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Indian Springs Cemetery.
