Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEUGENE (GENE) WAGNER 1936 - 2012 It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Eugene (Gene) Wagner at Brummitt- Feasby (ALS) House on October 9, 2012. Left with many memories to cherish are his wife Dorothy of 54 years; son Brad of Calgary, grandchildren Brittny, Eric and Vanessa; daughter Tanya (Vicki) of Australia; brothers Keith and Mike of B.C.; brother-in-law Brian (Diane) and son Sean (Jackie) and their children Jayden and Kealan, as well as many friends in Canada and Australia. Gene spent most of his career in the retail management business. After retirement he spent 10 years every summer working at the Niakwa Golf Course which he loved. Gene loved to travel and he and Dorothy enjoyed many cruises to all parts of the world including his favorite place, Australia, where he loved spending his winters. Gene's courage, acceptance and positive attitude during his illness was an inspiration to many. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dianna Rasmussen, Executive Director of the ALS Society of Manitoba and the staff of the Brummitt-Feasby House for all their care and compassion for Gene during his time there. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Brummitt-Feasby (ALS) House. In accordance to his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life for family and close friends will be held at a later date.
