JOSEPH GEORGE BALDWIN December 14, 1942 - October 6, 2012 It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our cherished father, husband, brother, uncle, grandfather, son and dear friend, Joseph George Baldwin, age 69 years, on October 6, 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB and surrounded by his loving family. Our dad always made people laugh and treated them with kindness. Creating new friendships and connecting with people was a huge part of his life. He will always be remembered for his love of life, the love he had for his family and his acceptance of others for who they were. We will miss him dearly. A special thanks to the staff of the dialysis unit and fifth floor medical unit at St. Boniface Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations to the St. Boniface Hospital in his honor would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Voyage Funeral Home, Winnipeg, MB. A celebration of Dad's life will be held in Newfoundland for family and friends and will be announced at a later date.

I just found out today, 3 weeks after his death, that Joe had died. He had last called me about a month or so ago but I had been very ill and hospitalized for a long while and only came home recently and realized that Joe had not called for a while. So I called his home today and his wife very kindly got back to me to inform me of Joe's passing away. I send my condolences to all of his family and know that everyone will miss him terribly. Joe and I had been friends for quite awhile in Newfoundland and he truly was a very kind, caring man who did, indeed, love to make people laugh. And, again, I send all of my love to all three of his children and their families and to his wife who I know he loved very, very much. I will miss him and would be so grateful if there is a memorial here in Newfoundland that I might be able to attend. - Posted by: Joanne Bremner (friend) on: Oct 29, 2012
