JOSEPH JOHN KRIEGL
Born: Jul 26, 1966
Date of Passing: Oct 17, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH JOHN KRIEGL July 26, 1966 - October 17, 2012 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph John Kriegl, age 46. Joe passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side and his two favourite girls holding his hands. Left to cherish his memory are his parents Fred and Doris Kriegl, brother Fred (Felicia), his daughters Tiana and Melissa and their mother Anna, Oma and Opa, niece Alessandra and nephews Adam, Luca and Nico, aunts and uncles, very special cousins, former in-laws and friends. Joe grew up in Transcona and graduated from Transcona Collegiate in 1984. He followed his dad into the plumbing business, where he took on many roles throughout his career. He married Anna in 1989 and they were together for over 22 years. The birth of his daughters, Tiana in 1998 and Melissa in 2001, brought him his greatest joy. He enjoyed participating in many activities, including hockey and soccer and coaching baseball. Most summers were spent at the lake where Joe was an avid swimmer and skier. He loved spending time with his cousins, either playing spongee or going to Bomber games. All he ever wanted to do was make people laugh. Honorary pallbearers are his cousins Brad, Bryan, Jay, Darren and Brent Ross, Curtis Kopeschny and Karla Roy. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to his brother Fred and cousin Brad for their tireless efforts to bring him back home to be with his family in his final days. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, Cemetery Crematorium, 1800 Day Street. Family interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's name can be made to the charity of your choice.

Sorry Mr. and Mrs. Kreigl and Fred for your loss. It's times like this when you realize the life is truly short. I remember Joey when he was little always trying to hang out with me, Fred and Tim Schwartz, but since we were much older we always left him behind. Now I look back and realize he was only two years younger. He was like a little brother we all liked. Sorry to lose track of your family after you moved from Edward. Time's like this when one wishes that we kept track of people we've known our whole life. I grew up with Fred and Joey since we were toddlers. Again my condolences from my family and the whole Huff family. - Posted by: Kevin Huff (Fried's since him and fred were toddler's) on: Oct 24, 2012

Jackie & I were there from the first days Joey came into your lives. We enjoyed his wonderful sense of humour, sometimes we called it mischief, as did all your family friends, but Joe will be remembered fondly by all who really knew him. We're sad we can't be together with you all, when "just a hug" would be so welcomed. Stand firm, God has kept a place for us all.
