ANNIE LOUISE BOSC (WINDSOR) (NORTH)
Born: Dec 29, 1921
Date of Passing: Oct 13, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNIE LOUISE BOSC (WINDSOR) (NORTH) December 29, 1921 - October 13, 2012 After a short illness, our mom passed away at the Portage General Hospital, surrounded by loving family members and caring medical personnel. Louise was the second child of George and Annie Windsor. She grew up in the Birnie area, later moving to Portia where she married her first husband, Albert North, on January 29, 1939. They raised eight children on the farm, moving to Alonsa in 1964. Mom worked tirelessly to care for us; gardening, canning, pickling pail after pail of wild fruit, sewing, knitting as well as doing many of the chores associated with farming, both indoors and out. All without indoor plumbing or modern appliances and machinery to ease the load! After a short second marriage to Harold Marcy, which took her to several provinces, she moved to Winnipeg and worked as a cleaner at the Women's Pavilion. She married Tony Bosc in 1980, and settled with him at his farm in Rathwell. Mom loved this time of her life, having finally met her perfect match. They enjoyed life together, whether working on the farm, out picking berries, going to sales, or travelling to visit her children and their families. Tony's family became her family, and she maintained those dear relationships for the rest of her life. After Tony's death in 1993, she moved to Portage la Prairie, to be nearer her family and town amenities. She spent many hours with our sister Helen, who has been mom's angel and primary caregiver since her move to Portage. Mom enjoyed getting to know people, and loved her volunteer work with the Herman Prior Centre, the Portage Service for Seniors group, and the CNIB. Halloween brought out the inner child and she beamed as she handed out treats and chatted to the little visitors at her block. Christmas was always special to her, and she would start making and wrapping gifts in January for the next year. We all enjoyed receiving her handmade mitts and socks, usually with a bit of cash tucked in for the grandkids. Mom was very proud of our accomplishments and never tired of telling anyone who would listen. She stayed in touch through regular mailed letters and phone calls, and at 79, she learned to use email and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She is predeceased by her parents, George and Annie Windsor, her sister Ethel, and her beloved husband Tony. She is survived by two brothers, Leonard and Joe Windsor, her sister Gladys (Jim) Norrie, and many nephews and nieces. She loved all of them, but had a special place in her heart for her niece Jean (Victor). She also leaves to cherish her memory, her children: Bill, George (Rosina), Ed (Jeanette), Richard, Helen (Ryall) Foster, Don, Linda (Roger) Morissette, and Judy (Steve) Shaw, her 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one very adorable great-great-granddaughter. Mother, Sister, Auntie, Grandma, friend, loved and missed by all whose lives you touched. Missed but never forgotten. May you rest in peace with your beloved Tony. At Mom's request, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Cemetery with a reception to follow in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Community Hall If friends so desire, memorial donations to Central Plains CancerCare Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8 would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to: Ronald Moffit Memorial Services 204-856-3487
