ETHEL LUELLA DENOON March 25, 1909 - October 11, 2012 Ethel Denoon, a resident of Winnipeg passed away October 11, 2012 at Beacon Hill Lodge. She leaves to mourn one sister Dorothy Olmstead (Ottawa, ON) two nieces, three nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Blanche and William Denoon, her sister Jean Bay and brothers-in-law Nels Bay and Gordon Olmstead. Ethel graduated from Wesley College with a BA in 1929. She went to Toronto for teacher training in 1930. She taught school at different schools until 1941. In 1941 she went to work at the Cordite Plant as a chemist and later became supervisor of the women in the plant. Later she went to work at McKenzie Food as accountant until she retired. Cremation has taken place and interment will be at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor of Beacon Hill Lodge for the great care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hill Lodge, or a charity of your choice.
