To the Hewitt family, I have been a friend of 45 years. George and Rose gave me the chance to be my best. Started to work for George @ the Gondola Pizza on Pembina Hwy. George took me under his wing, he looked after me in times of need. George asked me to go to the commissary in which I continued working for quite some time. George was like a Dad I never had. I'll miss you my friend. You were the best, I'll never forget you. My deepest sympathy to Rose and family. Love Ken Patko - Posted by: Ken Patko aka Piachko (Friend of 45 years) on: Nov 02, 2012

My deepest sympathy to Rose and family. I remember George so well, for his support of minor sports in the Charleswood area. He never turned down a request for help and happily cheered on players on local teams. He also introduced us to Gondola Pizza (it's still a favourite) and will be remembered by many families who were his customers. You are in my thoughts today. God Bless.
