SHELAGH ELLEN MACDONALD
Date of Passing: Oct 26, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHELAGH ELLEN MACDONALD After a brief illness and surrounded by her family, Shelagh Ellen MacDonald died at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon on October 26, 2012. She will lovingly be remembered by her parents Allan and Moira MacDonald, her sister Maureen, her brothers Kevin (Laurie) and Sean and by her one niece and five nephews. Shelagh was a great gentle spirit. Never to be typecast, she was an intellect, a writer, a voracious reader, a cook, a gardener, a musician, a swimmer, a lover of nature and a collector of corny jokes. She really was someone who would never hurt a fly (literally). Shelagh openly embraced those she met and recognized the great potential in everyone. Smarter than most of us but also more humble, she taught us to value that which was around us and to not let it go unspoken. Shelagh will be missed. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 3:00 p.m. at Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre in Saskatoon located at 915 Acadia Drive. Many thanks to her caregivers at Royal University Hospital for their attentiveness, compassion and respect and to her great network of friends for their support recently and over the years. Should you wish, donations in Shelagh's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are in care of Acadia-McKague's Funeral Centre 955-1600.

Shelagh was a great friend of mine - always one to inspire me - in school, in the pool, with intellectual and philosophical discussion - and with lots of fun! I enjoyed and valued all of my time spent in the Macdonald home and with Shelagh as my friend. I am so sorry to hear of her passing - my many thoughts and prayers are with you all - and with her. - Posted by: Cheryl Cohan (Friend) on: Oct 29, 2012

Though I am overcome with sadness for the loss of an old friend, through my tears I am smiling as I recall endless fond memories of listening to music in the basement on Wellington Cres., hanging at the lake, and lots of acting silly and laughing together. - Posted by: Doug Sharpe (Old Friend) on: Oct 29, 2012
