My sincere condolences to all family and friends enduring the loss of Jackie Halldorsson. She is quite a lady and she will be missed. I wish all of my cousins peace and comfort knowing she is no longer fighting any battles. In memory of my Auntie Jackie……… I can remember as far back as age 6 years old and in the midst of my most vivid memories as a child are those of our family trips to Winnipeg and visits with my relatives, the Halldorssons. Coming from a small family, these visits to a house of seven cousins were always very interesting and colorful. Right in the forefront was my Auntie Jackie and Uncle Al. They were always smiling, no matter what was going on. Even in a heated discussion with my father, her brother, Auntie Jackie kept a smile on her face. It was obvious to me, that of all the things she loved the most, on the top of her list was family……. her husband, her children, her parents, her brother, and other close family members. She loved being with family. Being a mother of seven is no easy task, but Auntie Jackie did it with pride and dignity. Though I never got to spend a lot of time around her in my adult years, I had the pleasure of a few recent visits with her, which I will always cherish. So, here’s to Auntie Jackie. You lived 80 years and survived many hardships. You were strong and brave to the end. May you be in good company with family and friends who left this earth before you. Fond memories of you will live forever in my heart. Love, Cathy. - Posted by: Cathy Hutcheson (Niece) on: Oct 27, 2012
