Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I met Margaret almost 2 years ago when my Mom became a resident of Park Manor. I got to know Margaret through some of the programs I like to help out with (Sunday Church services and Thursday Music programs) Margaret was a beautiful singer, and through our conversations, she told me she sang in a choir. She also told me she belonged to Transcona Memorial United, of which I am a member. When I took my Mom to these programs, Mom would sit between the two ladies she was closest to. Her roommate at Park Manor, who passed away in Sept., and Margaret on the other side. These two lovely ladies tried to be the voice" for my Mom, as my mom very rarely speaks any more. They were really so very kind to her. I often stopped in Margaret's room on the way to my Mom's. She enjoyed talking to me. We often sang together, also. When I went to see her last Sunday, I sang The Lord's My Shepherd to her. She seemed so at peace! God took her home. - Posted by: Bonnie Scott (Volunteer/ friend) on: Oct 28, 2012

  • Margaret was a good friend and I knew her for a very long time and I also knew her parents. We would take our little Shih Tzu Zoey to see her in the nursing home and she would sit on Margarets knee. I would on occasion go and have supper at her home and also at the nursing home. I will miss our visits and Margaret's sense of humor. She is now at rest with the Lord and her parents. - Posted by: Cathie McLeod and Ron Block (old friends and neighbours) on: Oct 27, 2012
