Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN WESLEY MOORE October 16, 1922 - October 24, 2012 Just days after celebrating Dad's 90th birthday he slipped into the presence of his Heavenly Father. Dad is survived by his lovely bride, Edith of 65 years, and five children: Murray (Joan) of Calgary, Howard (Caron) of Courtice, Judy (George) VanBruggen of South Korea, Kathy (Tim) Olson of Dugald, and Ron (Terese) of Stonewall. His pride and joy were his grandchildren as listed; Aaron (Ralna), Kristy, Stephen (Angela), Allison, Wesley, Rebekah, Patricia (Andrew), Lynnette, Ian (Zhileen), Ryan, Amy, Jenna, Sadie, Chantelle, Emily, Evan, Owen, Hannah, Elisee, and Reuben. Then he became great-grandpa to Clair, Caleb, Adrian, Jaden, Natalie, Adria and Lily May. Also left to cherish his memory is his twin Sister Doris of Lethbridge and two brothers, Ken (Lori) of Caronport and Vernon (Margret) of Calgary. Dad was born and raised on a farm at Maryfield, Saskatchewan. 1942-1945 took Dad overseas serving with the 12 Manitoba Dragoon's. Dad returned and started farming. He married Edith Heal of Maryfield, and there they made a home and raised their family. In 1978 they sold the farm and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba to be closer to the family. Dad provided a quiet supportive hand. He was there to provide all he had so we could become the best we could be. His solid faith was not only a stronghold but also a beautiful example for us all. A funeral service celebrating Dad's life will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Interment shall precede service at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

We've known Mr. Moore for many years through his son Murray and his wife Joan. We attend the same church, and Mr. Moore was never without a twinkle in his eye, and always upbeat. Got many hugs from him and we will miss him. Mrs. Moore, we're praying for you and your children. Love to all. - Posted by: Vic and Lydia Dyck (Friends of family) on: Oct 30, 2012
