Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELFRIEDE WITTENBERG On October 30, 2012 Elfriede (Frieda) Wittenberg was called home to be with her Lord and Saviour. She was predeceased by her parents Rudolf and Leokadia Koberstein, sister Lydia Sereda and daughter Debbie McDonald. Left to cherish her loving memory are her husband of 66 years William (Willie); her children Herb (Marilyn), Eric (Glennis) and Betty-Ann; son-in-law Graham McDonald; grandchildren Adrian (Kim), Brad (MacKenzie), Ian (Lauren), Laura, Heather (Mike), Kendall and Jayden; great-grandchildren Emerson, Fletcher, Ryan and Rylyn; brothers Walter Koberstein (Taisa), Art Koberstein (Irma); sisters Holdina Kaplun (Phil) and Erika Kelbert (Wally); and other extended family. Frieda was born in Puchawa, Poland on August 7, 1924, the second oldest of six children. On profession of her faith in Jesus Christ, she was baptized at the age of 14. Church was always an important part of her life, and this is where she met Willie. They were married on November 11, 1945. They immigrated to Winnipeg in 1948 where they raised their four children. She was a person of strong faith and a warrior of prayer. She loved her family and devoted her life to being an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Oma will forever be remembered as the "best cook in the world." She loved to sing and was still singing in her hospital bed up until her last moments. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Avenue, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Mission Baptist Church India Mission, 771 Sargent Avenue, or a charity of your choice.

ELFRIEDE WITTENBERG On October 30, 2012 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Elfriede Wittenberg, beloved wife of Wilhelm Wittenberg, passed away at age 88 years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Avenue, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service. Longer obituary to follow.

Our sympathy on the passing of Elfriede. We attended the funeral service of Irma Hohn, and then heard that Herta Hohn passed away. Now our generation is going one by one.
