MICHAEL (MIKE) BERNARDUS SLEGERS On October 30, 2012, Mike Slegers passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years. Mike was born in Mierlo, The Netherlands on April 1, 1930. He immigrated to Canada in 1952. Mike leaves behind four children, Mary Anne, Harold, Caroline and Reggie and foster children Terry Myran and Cindy Myran. Left behind in The Netherlands are his brother Bert (Jo) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Maria Anna Slegers, brothers Cel Slegers and Cor Slegers, sister Marietje Hulsers, brother-in-law Gil, sisters-in-law Ciska and Miet, all of The Netherlands, and foster daughter Valerie Roberts. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the St. François Xavier Roman Catholic Church, in St. François Xavier, MB on Friday, November 2, 2012. Interment to follow in St. François Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
