MARY ELIZABETH HALLIDAY Mary Elizabeth Halliday peacefully passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Grace General Hospital. Born October 12, 1928, Mary was raised and lived in Winnipeg all her life. A devote Catholic she became a longtime executive member of the CWL (Catholic Women's League of St. Edward's Parish). Mary enjoyed volunteering at the Age and Opportunity Centre which became her second home. Other passions included lawn bowling at Vimy Ridge Park, the love of watching sports on TV whether it was golf, football or baseball and her compassion for animals especially Ariel. Mary had quick wit and sense of humor like no one else. She will be lovingly remembered by cousins Dorothy Cameron, Rose Verden (Chris), their son Alex, dear friends Verna Bashuski, Doris Squires and many more close friends too numerous to mention. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday, November 7, 2012 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St. Reception to follow at St. Edward's Parish hall. A special thank you to all the staff at Grace General Hospital for their patience, understanding and care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
