THOMAS GRANT MCCLUSKY December 19, 1937 - November 1, 2012 Peacefully, at Concordia Hospital on November 1, 2012 Tom passed away at the age of 74 after a three year battle with cancer (Multiple Myeloma). Tom leaves to mourn, his wife Marianne, daughters Wendy (Bruce) Boroski, Linda (Vince) Gruenke. Grandchildren Tia, Ali, Adam and Amy. Also left to remember him is his sister Lynn Turner and many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father William, mother Kathleen and brother-in-law Doug Turner. Tom was born in Winnipeg and raised in the North End where he met and married Marianne on June 6, 1959. Tom was a people person which led to a career in sales with various companies including Modern Dairies, McDonald Tobacco and Timex. Tom enjoyed fishing, curling, golf, pin trading and collecting memorabilia. Tom enjoyed watching sports whether it was his children's activities, his grandchildren's sports, the Jets or Goldeyes. Tom and Marianne enjoyed travelling to many destinations including Hawaii, Arizona, Palm Springs, Florida and especially New York. In 1972 Tom and Marianne bought a cabin at Grand Beach which provided many good times and cherished memories for them, their children and grandchildren. Our family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff in Oncology at Concordia Hospital, they are an incredible group. Thanks are also extended to doctors Harris, Henry, Dau and D. Johnson who cared for Tom during this trying time. As well we are greatly appreciative of Tom Roche and all those involved with the Multiple Myeloma Support Group. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at McIvor Avenue MB Church, 200 McIvor Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. A private interment will follow. If friends wish to do so, donations in Tom's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba (Please specify for Multiple Myeloma) or the Humane Society. Tom was a cherished husband, dad and papa who will be greatly missed.
