Date of Passing: Nov 08, 2012
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGIANA (GEORGIE) MAGER (nee MCDOUGALL) 1927 2012 On Thursday, November 8, 2012 after a lengthy illness, Georgie went to be with her husband Joe. Left to mourn her passing are her children Henry, Arlene, Roland (Debbie), John (Richard), Michael (Cori), Daniel (Shelley) and Ted (Sjoerd), along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Born and raised in Fort Garry, Georgie married Joe on August 30, 1947 and then moved to St. Vital where she remained until her passing. Mom was very active in St. Emile and Christ the King churches as well as the Red River Seniors. Georgie was a fantastic mom, grandma and friend. She always had a warm smile and a caring ear to listen. She had an open door policy and no one was ever turned away from her table. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Hwy., with Evar Balodis officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted in Georgie's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

To Daniel, Ted and Arlene, Your mother always had a friendly smile and kind word whenever we met. May your happy memories of her help you with the void she has left in your life. With sympathy, Geraldine Dring (Miss Taylor) - Posted by: GERALDINE DRING (NEE TAYLOR) (FRIEND/TEACHER) on: Nov 13, 2012

My prayers and thoughts are with Auntie Georgie, Uncle Joe and all of the Mager family in this Time of Sorrow. Auntie Georgie was always there for me when I needed her and I really relished those special meals she used to prepare for us all. She will be very sadly missed by everyone that she 'touched'. - Posted by: Doug Mager (Nephew) on: Nov 12, 2012
