MURIEL LLOYD On Friday, November 9, 2012, surrounded by her cherished family, Muriel peacefully passed away at the Victoria Hospital. She will be missed by Ron, her loving husband of 57 years, as well as her daughters Cheryl (Peter Kohanek), Laureen (Doug Forbes), Brenda (Ron Copeland) and grandchildren Garrett and Travis; Gillian and Erica; and Alyssa, Dylan, and our sweet Angel Carly. Muriel was blessed to have connected with her Victoria Family and many trips were made back and forth, strengthening the family bond. Thank you Cyril, Sue, Patrick, Anthony and Andrew for giving her the gift of family. There was a very special place in her heart for each of you. Muriel's entire life revolved around her family!!! She took great pride in making a happy, comfortable home that was always full of love. She adored and loved her grandchildren beyond words and constantly gave them her complete attention, her wisdom, and her heart - unconditionally. Each grandchild shared a special and unique relationship with her and their lives are richer because she was in it. Muriel enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens and was always eager to show them off. Many an hour was spent planning, planting and tending these gardens. She also enjoyed working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, knitting, watching sports (especially her Goldeyes) and making the best cinnamon buns in the world! She loved her many years with family and close friends at Idle Wheels, Lilac Resort and the cottage at Sandy Hook. There are some wonderful memories there. In the days and the months and the years ahead we will all miss her humour, her wit, her hugs and her strength of character. Muriel lived her life her way and her legacy will live on within each of us. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or a charity of your choice. IF THERE EVER COMES A DAY WHEN WE CAN'T BE TOGETHER, KEEP ME IN YOUR HEART, I'LL STAY THERE FOREVER . Dear Ron and family Was so sorry to read about Muriel's passing. Enjoyed our chat on the phone today Ron and as I told you I have been fighting cancer for the last year and a half and not doing too well at the present. I don't think I will be able to drive all the way out there tomorrow for the gathering. My love and thoughts will be with you all. Take care and remember the good times. Ron and Family: We are very sorry for your loss. We have fond memories of visiting with you and Muriel, at the curling rink, the trailer and the cottage.
